While in Alexandria last week I ran into this gent outside his senior living apartment. He spends a lot of time on his very nice bicycle…enough time that he needed saddle bags. He built these of wood because “the fancy nylon bad were just too expensive.” While slightly heavy, if I had a choice between nylon and these wooden hand-crafted beauties I’d go with the wood!
